Get to know the people behind INADRDennis Favaro
Dennis Favaro
Dennis R. Favaro is a practicing lawyer, educator, mediator and frequent speaker on employment law and dispute resolution topics. He is the managing partner of Favaro & Gorman, Ltd., an employment law firm. Mr. Favaro received a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Theology from Wheaton College and his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law. He has a Masters in Law degree in dispute resolution from the University of Aberdeen School of Law. Mr. Favaro is a faculty member of William Rainey Harper College and is an adjunct faculty member at Wheaton College. He teaches employment law and dispute resolution courses. Mr. Favaro is the immediate past president of International Academy of Dispute Resolution and past president of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and its Foundation. He holds leadership positions in various not-for-profit organizations and in his Church. As an advocate, he uses mediation as a dispute resolution alternative. Mr. Favaro estimates he has participated in hundreds of mediations over the past thirty years.
History
INADR was founded in 2002 and is the first organization that sponsored mediation tournaments where students were the mediators in an international competition. Since that time, INADR tournaments have been hosted in more than sixteen countries and have had participants and representatives from over fifty countries.
